Management:
Ram Singh, President and CEO: Ram has over 17 years
of experience in software development and management. He served as Senior
Vice President at NetLens, Inc., a developer of wireless infrastructure and
application software for enterprises, and as Vice President at Nextpage,
Inc. As an Engineering Director at Sybase, Inc., Ram managed the
development of over 20 products including the enterprise portal, B2B exchange,
and eCommerce initiatives. Under his leadership and direction, Sybase
development teams achieved 100% gains in productivity and production
releases. He holds a B.S. degree in Electronics and Communication
Engineering from Bihar Institute of Technology at Ranchi
University, India
as well as M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science from Jawaharlal Nehru
University, New Delhi, India.
Additionally, he has been on the Computer Science faculty at UC Berkeley
and was an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at the University of Maryland.
He has published 14 research papers in journals and presented at national
and international conferences. Ram’s career began at CDOT, India, a
developer of switching, optical transmission and wireless equipment, where
he served in product planning, design and development for over 5 years.
Vasu Pappula, Co-Founder and CSO: Vasu has over 12
years of corporate management and technology experience, having worked in
various capacities at Intel Corporation and National Semiconductor
Corporation. At Intel, Vasu was involved in all the flagship processors
starting from the Pentium® in various management and engineering roles. He
played a key role in architecting a distributed computing environment for
testing and verifying the complicated Pentium Pro microprocessor design,
which eliminated the need to buy expensive custom equipment. This has since
been proliferated to all the following generations of microprocessors. He
was also one of the lead designers of Intel's first graphics chip. At
National, Vasu worked on its first video-conferencing board, which was one
of the earliest products in the industry to incorporate
"isochronous" Ethernet and advanced compression algorithms. It
was successfully demonstrated at Comdex 1992. Vasu has expertise in
high-speed computer design, artificial intelligence algorithms, distributed
computing and information theory, and has various patents pending in the
fields of compression and computer graphics algorithms. He earned a B.Tech. in Electronics Engineering from the Indian
Institute of Technology, Madras and an M.S. in Computer Engineering from
the University of Texas, Austin. He also holds an M.B.A. from the University of California.
Arjun Jayaram, Co-Founder and CTO: Arjun has over
ten years of experience in software architecture, product design,
development and engineering management. He worked as a Senior Staff
Engineer at Sybase Inc., where he led many projects as the head architect
in the Systems Management Solutions department. Ajun
was involved in the design and development of Enterprise Portal Web
console, Sybase Adaptive Server Enterprise Plugins,
DDL Generation Utility and Replication Server management tools. Prior to
joining Sybase, Arjun was a senior software engineer at Honeywell Systems,
where he played a major role in designing and implementing an alarm system
for industrial control systems. He holds a B.Tech
in Computer Science and Engineering from Calicut University, India, and dual MBA degrees in Marketing
Management and Strategic Management from California State
University.
